Vanessa Rusu, PA

Vanessa Rusu, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant with Georgia Heart Institute. Before transitioning to cardiology, she practiced as a physician assistant in obesity/weight loss medicine, assisting on bariatric surgical procedures and prescribing and managing weight loss medications. She also practiced at an urgent care clinic.

Vanessa was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by her mother, who worked as a licensed practical nurse in a nursing home in Georgia. "She has always been someone who is passionate about caring for others, and it opened my eyes to the ability for me to do the same in medicine."

Vanessa is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian as well as English.
