Robin is an acute care nurse practitioner who has practiced in cardiology since 2019. Having started in inpatient general cardiology, she began to specialize in heart failure in 2021. "Practicing in heart failure, I feel like there is more that I can do for my patients to make them better," says Robin. "New devices, new medications — there are just a lot more therapies you can offer."
When she encounters new patients who might be overwhelmed by their heart failure diagnosis, Robin seeks to educate them so they know what to expect from their treatment plan. "Usually when you educate them and explain to them why you're doing certain things, they tend to trust you a little more."
