I requested visit with Dr. through portal but did not realize I was scheduled with Nurse Practitioner. After driving for 3.5 hours for appointment I was called in morning to tell me the Nurse Practitioner I was scheduled to see had an emergency. That was first time I realized the appointment was not with Dr. and I was not happy about that but needed refill on prescriptions and needed to see a provider. They wanted to reschedule appointment but I told them I had driven a long distance and they were very nice to find the Nurse Practitioner who saw me. I was very grateful for that and was very pleased with her care. I had been two years since I had seen Dr. and was the first time I was referred to one of his Nurse Practitioners.

All good. I was hesitant regarding LDL cholesterol-lowering drugs, so she referred me to the lipid clinic and made appointment for me. I really appreciate her understanding my concerns and offering an appt that might provide an alternative option.
