Jay Khambhati, MD

Jay Khambhati, MD, is a structural heart interventional cardiologist who practices with Georgia Heart Institute in Gainesville. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Adult Echocardiography, Cardiovascular Medicine, Cardiovascular CT, and Interventional Cardiology.

His clinical interests include transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER), transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR), transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement, left atrial appendage closure (LAAC), patent foramen ovale closure, and paravalvular leak closure.

Dr. Khambhati previously served in academic and clinical positions at the University of Chicago Medicine and at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He has co-authored more than 10 peer-reviewed publications in the primary literature, plus dozens of abstracts, reviews, editorials, book chapters, and original articles. He has also participated in numerous clinical trials investigating medical and device therapies.
